About this map

Articles, with the patterns between them.

The same idea often shows up in places you wouldn't think to look. A productivity habit turns out to mirror elite athletic training. An algorithm shapes both your wardrobe and your travel itinerary. This map gathers those parallels in one place, so you can read across topics instead of one at a time.

How people use it

A quick way to get something out of this in five minutes.

  1. Start where you're curious

Each shaded region on the map is a topic. Click a topic name to open it, or click any dot. Its numbered neighbors are the pieces that share the most language, themes, and ideas with it, whatever their topic.

  2. Follow an unexpected pair

The small blue stitches on a border stand for links between the two topics it separates. The Between topics table shows every pair of topics. A darker square links more often than the two topics' sizes predict, and a hatched square has no links yet. Pick a square to see its strongest links on the map.

  3. Read in context, not in isolation

Pick a piece, then one of its neighbors, then one of theirs. The panel keeps the path you took, and on a wide screen the Lens shows each piece with its neighbors around it.

Connections are built from the writing itself: overlapping language, themes, and concepts. No manual tags, no editorial picks.
